Rachel Thomas Pellman, her husband Kenneth, and two sons live near Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is manager of The Old Country Store in Intercourse, Pennsylvania, which features quilts, crafts, and toys made by more than 350 local craftspersons. She is also the curator of The People’s Place Quilt Museum in the village of Intercourse.

She is the author of Amish Quilt Patterns and Small Amish Quilt Patterns. She is also the co-author with her husband Kenneth of A Treasury of Mennonite Quilts, A Treasury of Amish Quilts, The World of Amish Quilts, Amish Crib Quilts, and Amish Doll Quilts, Dolls, and Other Playthings; co-author with Cheryl Benner ofThe Country Love Quilt, The Country Lily Quilt, The Country Songbird Quilt, The Country Bride Quilt Collection, The Country Paradise Quilt, Country Quilts for Children, The Country Tea Rose Quilt, and Favorite Applique Patterns Volumes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
